Default Yet Another headers question

Let's assume I want to use Cat's, and want to use stock mufflers.

If I understand correctly, with the LG headers and their high flow Cats, I can bolt up to the existing exhaust from that point back. If for some reason in the future I wanted to go back to completely stock, I think I could do so relatively easily.

Is the same true for other brands? (Kooks, AHR, Melrose, etc)
Are they "bolt on", or do they require more modifications?

Yes, most C6 header packages (long tubes, X or H pipe and high flow cats) are designed to work with both a stock cat back and with most aftermarket cat backs as well.

All except the B&B and Callaway are designed to mate up at the stock connection located at the front of the over the axle pipe/rear of the Hpipe. This is a 2.5" connection as stock and all the cat backs are designed to mate up there. You can use the stock muffs or mix in any of the aftermartket stuff with any of the header systems.

The B&B hooks up at the front of the stock Hpipe and will delete your cats. The Callaway are shorty headers and leave the cats in the stock mounting location. I dont know if they are CARB certified but they are the only ones that could be.

LG and ARH will both do a 3" connection so you can go to a Z06 muffler system if your of a mind. Others may also offer this service.

Affirmative. I ran Kooks LTs/Xpipe/cats into stock mufflers for a while. Easy fit (relatively- it's still exhaust work
