Why stainless valves?

My experience is the best reason:
One of the stock 2 peice welded valves broke and destroyed my entire motor in my C5. I bought a forged motor and reworked heads. After all parts and doing the install my self the total cost for using non-one peice stainless valves (stock) was 5500 bucks and the cost of a good set of manley race flows was 220.
Even the hollow stems are garbage. The can break in 2 even in stock applications as per Brad at Ramp Chevy.
