Default ace slick wheels

does anyone have these wheels in zo6 style with 19x11 rears with 305 x30x19 tires? just wondering if the offsets would allow this size tire without sticking outside rear fenders

Check this post/pic's out. Ace wheels mounted with 305's, this might answer your question.

Anyone try mounting the stock C6 ZO6 tires on these wheels on a C6 coupe?

Will they fit?

They stick out about 1.5". on the rear, not sure about the front.

Well, that's not going to work.
Now I know why people have been re-selling the ACE Slicks on here.

I talked to an ACE employee and he said they have no plans to offer a version of this wheel larger than 19 x 11 for the ZO6 owenrs or ZO6 rear 1/4 panel coupe guys.
I told them they were missing out on a ton of business IMHO;
but they did't seem to care.
I think a 19 x 13, or even a 19 x 12, version of the ACE Slick would sell very well.

My biggest motivation for going with a new set of wheels was to be able to run tires with the OEM ZO6 sizes on my coupe.
Looks like LG and CCW are the only options for a 19x11 and 18x9.5 -10. (that I like)

If LAPD can do a GP for 4 cast wheels in chrome for $1,000,
I can't see a reason that LG can't do a similar deal with offsets/sizes that will allow ZO6 rubber to fit under a C6 coupe's body panels.

If LG could do the same pricing,
I'd order a set today.

They don't stick out. We cut the bushings and have lowered the back more since I took those pictures, no rubbing or anything like that. Traction was greatly improved 305 Bridgestone's. I'm very happy with the setup.

I MIGHT get new pictures at the weekend if there is interest.

the 19x11 already weighs a ton. building a 19x13 would be obscene

13 inch wide wheels are working well on the Viper;
and they will be on the Corvette SS.
I want the option of running tires from the ZO6, SS, and Viper.

13 inch wide wheels is the only way to do that. (along with new rear rear 1/4 panels)
You can call me obscene. It's true.

19x13's are fine. im saying they will weigh 2 tons because the 19x11 ace wheels are already obscenely heavy.

if you're going to get a wheel that large, do yourself a favor and get a light wheel

Yes, they are little on the heavy side. My 'scientific bathroom scale weighting' resulted 5 lbs. more for 19X11 hyperblack ACE versus stock painted 19X10. Chrome wheels are probably more. I guess you get what you pay for...

Btw, the tire weights with the same weighting method where dead on with Tire Rack spec.

I am kicking the idea around. Shawn @ LAPD seems to have a great deal on a great set of wheels!

I just can't decide between hyperblack and chrome.

I think it depends on how you define sticking out. Put a straightedge on the flat of the front fender, with the end down to the tire and it hits right on the edge of the tread itself. The bulge sticks out past the fender. Rear is the same. If you haven't contemplated mud flaps before this fitment might change that. Also be aware that the 305s are about a half inch less tall and you CAN see that in the extra fenderwell that's going to be showing. If you are a lowering type, no worries. If you already have a hard time negotiating your driveway then your looking at living with it or having an even harder time getting in your driveway.

Don't get me wrong, they look great but its better to know these things before the money gets spent.

The Ace Z06 wheels look like the C5 Z06 wheels, not the C6 style.

These are good things to to concider before you pull the trigger. However dont be too scared about the slightly smaller radius on the rear tire, it's 1mph difference at the speedo.

Good luck!
