How good is your tunner when something goes wrong?
A while back A&A built me a L92 stroker. Great power great motor. Problem, it had an oil leak. Drove it up there, replaced the seal at the crank. Got home still leaking around the pan and later they found a leak at the gally plug above the oil filter area. It also needed some more tunning, had some surging and flat spot issues. Instead of me having to drive it up there as most tunners would have you do: Andy Green sent a flat bed truck and picked it up from my house. Oil leaks and tunning were attended to and Andy himself drove it back down to my house, and left it in the driveway. Anybody can be a good tunner when things go right. What makes a great tunner is how they take care of the customer when things go wrong. Andy's philosophy is simple" My name in the business is more important than an engine". Anyway, thanks Andy for taking care me the way you did.

My tuner (Cartek Racing) is the same way, in the rare outside event that one even needs to come back for some minor issue they will not let the car leave until it's 100% addressed/corrected.
I've dealt with Andy on several occasions and he goes well beyond in terms of customer service. I can tell you I've had a bad experience with a set of heads he was merely selling as a vendor and he did not hesitate to offer to do whatever he could to make it right. They weren't even his parts! I'm telling you the guy is top notch.
From: NJ..."the way I saw it, everyone takes a beating sometimes."

Call me crazy but quality work the first time is always the best.
At least they took good care of ya.
Hasn't A&A since changed engine builders?
I agree but even the most skilled and compitent builder can make a mistake. Nobody's perfect. What's important is making sure your mistakes are taken care of. Unfortunately one doesn't know how well any builder/tuner will rectify a problem until it's too late. Sounds like A&A is

Yeah I've never heard anything bad about these guys
Only heard stories from other members concerning built motors from their distributor.
My tuner,Jeff, from CAM was availible at late evening on a Sat. when I had an issue....he has the shop's phone flip over to his personal phone sometimes to be there if a cust. needs something.
Yeah I called Jeff one day and he was grocery shopping or something
I had some header issues when installing. I didn't even buy them from Jeff I just found his number on his website. He knew exactly what I had done (knocked the purple engine temp sensor plug off).
