Default Adding HUD to C6

How hard is to add HUD to a C6? I know it’s fairly straightforward on C5.

If reasonably doable could approximate cost be included.

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks, but link does not work.

I did do a search and could not find a definitive answer.

One of the listed forum vendors had new ones listed for around $400. I noticed it while browsing. I don't recall which one but it was one of the ones listed as a parts vendor.

Look for it and give them a call.

My bad, It was TheMod City, but the listing was for a C5.

I have HUD and think its a neat option and all, but its not as useful as I originally thought.

First, by force of habit from 30 years of driving, I tend to look down at the gauge cluster more than the HUD.

Second, more info is shown on the gauge cluster than the HUD, so you have to check the gauges anyway.

Third, I like the HUD digital speedo but the tachometer is somewhat less useful since it does not have the same level of precision. Not sure it that is the best term but you get a better feel of RPM by looking at the tach in the gauge cluster than the HUD.

Forth, if you wear bifocal glasses like me, the HUD is blurry. Its too far for the reading part of the lenses which is the angle its at on my windshield. You can move the display up/down but I can never get it right in focus. Perhaps guys with better eyes than me don't have this issue.

Like I said in my original sentence, it is a neat option and I am glad I have it, but its not as useful as I originally thought it would be.

He has stock windshield, no need to change it out, or to remove for the install.
