Any one know of a affordable CAN OBD II Code reader that will clear the airbag code and/or the ABS code?? Just purchased one from DIY Diagnostics, its real nice & Matt was great- but he doesn't sell one that will clear either of these codes!!!
Thanks!!

don't know about the 'air bag' light or the 'abs' one either but i picked up the innova 3030 at walmart for $69. it is can and obdii and will 'clear codes'.
I would think that as Zig says many readers will clear the trouble codes, maybe Matt didn't understand your question? Or, if you have already tried and the reader won't clear the codes, perhaps there is still an issue causing the codes?
I wonder if these sorts of codes (air bag related) are further "LOCKED" down by GM. Could be related to liability issues should an owner "clear/ignore" air bag codes then get involved in an accident where the air bags don't deploy.
I'd be willing to bet that's the deal. GM is afraid of any liability issues.
I'm glad Matt is refunding your $$$.

PS: I didn't think about specific air bag codes when I recommended this reader. I apologize.
Even if you could, are you really sure you want to clear the air bag code? I had an intermittant air bag light coming on and off, and the dealer ultimately replace the module. If your air bag light comes on, I was told it shuts down the entire air bag system.
Thanks for all the input fellas -all very good points-especially yours Tom, I bet you are right on the money on that!! As far as Matt misunderstanding my question, not the case here as we had good communication. Also the code reader didnt even show I had any codes come up to clear- let alone clear them. Also ,I know why the airbag light is/came on as I recently had my seats out to change to the new GM two tone seat covers, found out that will do it every time.
Thanks!!
