Lots of print and opinions on the FAST intake. To be sure it is good maybe even great, but at the cost of carving the firewall.

Does anyone know what the net difference of a FAST over a ported LSx intake?

A unported FAST should make about 10 rwhp more than a Ported Factory LS2 intake. The FAST makes a little more hp and tq under the curve as well.

For the average street car not a big enough difference to matter

I just did the lpe 403 package and they just ported the stock one due to ISSUES with the FAST ones comming apart.

I have read all about your AWESOME car, including the issues with the FAST. I rank your car among the top three or four I have seen on this forum.

No problem. A lot of folks get wrapped up in a Ported stock vs FAST comparison. There is no comparison. There is only the two-part question of how much performance you want and how much you want to spend for it. The ported stock is very appealing for most people.

Thakns

And it is a blast to drive

But if you are trying to get every hp out of the car i am shure the fast will make about 5 to 10 hp more than the stock

There are a couple of things that I have decided that I do not want to do:

1. Cut the firewall - It isn't worth the 15 or so HP to do that.
2. Add headers. I love that mod but the issue with emissions laws keeps me from putting them on the C6.

What I do want to do is to get to 425RWHP with a NA motor and maintain pretty much stock drivability, maximize low end torque. Don't know if I can get there, but I'm gonna try.

If the firewall kit is cut and installed properly you will swear it came from the factory that way. Lingenfelter is the one and only vendor I have seen to dis the FAST. Pretty amazing no one else has the same issue, so I can only assume they got the only bad ones? At 569rwhp I certainly have NO issues.

Here is the link to Harrop in Australia.

I have seen photo's on the new GTO. Not cheap, but good looking with great performance. I heard tuning it is not simple.
