Default Check Engine Light in Newark, DE

The "Check Engine" light came on with only 2,800 miles on my '07 C6 coupe. Can anyone recommend a dealer/service department in the area? Should I wait a few days and see if the light resets? Should I get/borrow a code reader at a Parts Plus and see what the problem is? I've checked the gas cap and it seems seated tightly.

your local auto parts store like autozone or checkers will pull the codes for you for free without any waiting.

You can either unplug the battery for ten minutes to reset the Check Engine Light and never know what the problem is, or go to Autozone and borrow/buy their CAN OBD II scanner to see what it is and also reset it, or take it to good old Mr. Goodwrench.

Thanks guys. I ordered a $65 code reader, which should be here in a day or two. At least I can turn off the light if it is a code. If it reoccurs, I'll at least know what the dealer is supposed to be working on.
