Ihave an 06 6speed with stock gears, cai, headers x pipe b@b exhaust, and 180 stat. i have the diablo sport predator tuner. i was wondering if i should advance the timing? if so how many degrees?the diablo will let you advance the timing up to 15 degrees. how much hp will i get from what degrees of timing? and will it hurt the engine? any advice would be appreciated.

Until you are comfortable with the answer to that and other performance tuning questions, I would leave tuning the ECM to the professionals. Too many variables that interact for the novice to start mashing buttons. My .02.
From what I've seen the stock spark advance table is pretty aggressive all ready. It might or might not take more advance without getting into KR. Add 5% (unless they changed the Predator for Chevy Vs. Ford, it works in percentages, not degrees) and monitor KR. If none, you're good.
BTW: I found my 07 Z06 didn't want any more advance than the stock table gave it until 5000 rpm. At that point 2 degrees gave it 4 more rwhp.

I have the same mods + 1.85 rockers and ported heads. I have advanced the timing to 24 deg vs the stock 19 deg. ( +5 ) However, I did this with HP tuners and tuned out all of the detonation at the lower RPM's. I would guess you could get away with + 2-4 deg if you have 93 octane fuel available. I would advise you listen for knock and check the plugs regularly. Good luck!
