Default ProCharger Installed

Well, I finished the ProCharger install today. This proved to be quite the job. I put two full days in. Definitely the hardest part is removing the crankshaft bolt and drilling and installing the pin. This accounts for about half of the total install time. There is quite a bit of disassembly that has to occur to gain access. What a pain. All in all, Procharger has done a great job engineering the kit. Everything fits nice. The intercooler is a little challenging because the radiator support framework is a hair in the way. There are a couple pointers I could share if anyone decides they would like to tackle as a weekend project. Now it's time to have some fun! Thanks, Mike

Mike,

Its time to return the favor. Not to be too forward, but YES, I would like to take a ride in your Vette to check out that new super charger.

I have never riden in a FI vette. It's got to be just stupid fun?

PM or email me and let me know if your willing...

Good clean install
Now get on over to the forced induction section and post up
By the way did you do my intercooler mod so that your engine temps won't run so hot

Nice job. I am plannning on doing the install myself as well. You should write up your notes while they are fresh in your mind and add them to the first post.

Hey guys, I am considering adding a procharger in the next couple of months to my '06 a6 z51 coupe. I was going to let MTI do a stage I (4 grand) to pick up around 50 hp. But I think the procharger sounds better and more hp.

I know nothing about forced induction and have lots of questions, but here are the main ones.

1) how is the throttle response? Is it a quick rev?

2) I guess it voids all gm warranties right?

I would like to pm you Mike if I could.............thanks

It's a beast! I'm pretty sure warranty work could be a challenge do to the huge increase in horsepower. Feels like it has enough power to do some serious damage if you abused it.
