Ok here goes.. After reading a ton of threads about adding/installing a Vararam CAI I think I'm ready to try it.. The problem is I'm a little nervous about messing something up.. Can anyone please give me tips, tricks, or anything to make it easier ? Is it easier to remove the shroud or cut it in the car ? Also do I need to lift the front end (don't have a lift but have ramps/jacks)? Last thing, do you really need the TB spacer ? I don't really want to put it on .. Thanks for any advice or help .

Plenty written about it from those of us who did it. I sent the precut shroud back and I cut it in the car. You can do it!!
Also, call Patrick at Vararam and he'll give you some shortcuts. But, go slow and be careful.
Yea, it's simple. Read the instructions, GO SLOW and if you want to worry about something, worry about cutting too deep and hitting the condenser. I didnt hit mine. I worried about it enough to do everything I could think of not to (thick piece of cardboard slid between shroud and radiator, only about 3/8 inch of blade showing in box cutter, etc.). It was worth it.
