Default Clutch Engagement

I seem to be having a slight problem w/ my clutch.. after i've driven the car for a little while 20mins+, it seems like the clutch gets real sticky, on/off engagement, seems to have little to no slip.. any comments?

i would think as the clutch got hot it would slip more??

could i need to change the slave fluid, and is there a how to on this?

Changing the fluid would be the place to start. Many clutch issues seem to be related to contaminated or deteriorated fluid.

There are some threads on this, search for Ranger's how-to. Basically, it amounts to sucking the old fluid out of the reservior with a turkey baster or similar tool, replacing it with new fluid, pumping the clutch a few times, and repeating as needed. Or repeating the procedure every few days until the fluid stays reasonably clear.

Oh, and of course you want to clean off the rubber thingy if its got any moisture or jelly-like gunk on it.

Use a good quality DOT4 brake fluid. I use Valvoline SynPower, many folks have fine results with Prestone.
