Has anyone successfully had their dealer disable their F55 suspension so they could put on regular shocks?
When I installed my APS Twin Turbo I had to remove the front suspension sensors, so my DIC is always telling me Service Ride Control, and my car bounces like a basketball. I have Z06 shocks on order from Fred Beans.
I've seen them for the f45 on the c5, but not the f55 on the c6. I'll take a look. I am still hoping that hooking the tech2 up to the car and going through the sps menu can do it. I guess what I really mean is I hope I can find someone who can do it. I'm pretty sure it can be done.
The dealer had to replace my BCM to correct no fog lights issue. Anyway when I got the car back my MSRC was not working so I had to take it back and also contacted GM about the issue, this was their response.
"I have talked with the Service Manager at the dealership and was informed that when the BCM was replaced, when they reprogrammed it, they have a list of IPR codes they have to re-enter. One of which is for the selective ride control. This would make the selective ride control inoperative if the code was not re-entered."
So it look like all they have to do is remove the IPR code from the BCM.

Thats great, I appreciate the response. The more buzz words or acronyms I can provide the dealer the better chance they will be able to find out how to do it. Now I can say that you go into tech2, using the sps menu and disable an ipr. Thanks. Hopefully they can do it.
Well, I'm still striking out on disabling this F55 suspension on my 2005 c6 with twin turbos. I have the C6 Z06 shocks on the car now and they work great, but these messages on the DIC are ridiculous.
It constantly flashes "service ride control", "shocks inoperative", and "158mph max"
Until yesterday it said "80mph max" but Jeff at Carolina Auto Masters yesterday showed me that adjusting the speed limiter 2 on the PCM to 186mph raises it to now read 158mph...
Oh well, at least its going in the right direction, but it would be nice to find out how to get rid of the messages altogether. Who knew it would be this hard to program the Body Control Module. I can adjust anything I need on the powertrain control module, but the body module is off limits to any reprogramming?

Anybody else had any luck fixing this?
Have you had any luck ? I would like to do the same thing.
Yes, I found a dealer here locally with a mechanic that actually knew how to do it using the tech2 tool. I removed the sensors, and replaced the shocks with Z06 shocks and then the fellow at the dealership was able to disable the F55 option in the body control module using the tech2. He said it was under the diagnostics menu, then under the vehicle integration menu I believe. Anyway, its fixed. Good luck, some mechanics are computer savvy and others are not, especially at Chevy dealers.
