Mobil 1 full synthetic 5w30, meeting GM4718m specification.

I would suggest picking up 6 quarts.

Thank you.

BTW anyone have a preference for filter?

I have found STP and Fram locally
Duralast K&N and Motorcraft can be had if I order it.

Thanks for any advice.

ACDelco PF46 Chevy dealers have them, as well as most better auto parts stores.

5.5 qts Mobil1 5w30 silver cap (regular Mobil1 not the extended performance)

6 qts if it has the Z51 perf package

I have had good luck with the Mobil 1 filter in all three Vettes, just a little spendy at about 12.00 a copy.

Remember the Delco filter is PF48 for the 2007s.

His profile shows it as an 06, which will be the PF46. Your right about the 07s, all 07s went to PF48.

Actually, Fram is one of the worst on the market. They are made of cardboard and have the tendancy to collapse. I use Mobile 1 - they are high middle of the road, but easily available.

My local chevy dealer installs 10-30 as the temp's in Texas are higher than most of the country, so I put in the 10-30. Because of the little thicker oil my oil life went to 71 percent upon start up and now after 1000 miles reads 58 percent left.
I will be going back to 5-30 next week.
Total price out the door at Advance auto parts with filter was $25.02 and it takes me about 20 min. total time.

What's the difference between the reg. Mobile 1 (silver) and the extended Mobile 1 (gold)? I saw that at Walmart and Pep Boys today and didn't know which to get. They also had a Mobile 1 filter in the correct size.
