Default Header Install/ Spark plug wires

Planning to install Kooks and Corsa Sports in a few weeks. Noticed many people have problems removing the plug wires. Should I get new wires and not take the chance of damaging any on removal? I would hate to find I damaged one and not know how to find it. If so , any particular brand or just OEM? Is there a "trick" to removing the wires? Thanks.

Just grasp the wire at the boot. Youll be fine.

You may want to consider heat socks for the wires and some therma tape to wrap some tranny and oil lines that will be running right next t the collectors and cats.

Give the wire a twist and pull. It'll pop right off. When you reconnect, there is a "click" when you push back on.

With American Racing headers on a Z06 one spark plug wire ends up pretty close to a header primary. I'd advise buying a set of MSD wires, they can be bent for clearance. Stock wire clearance was only 1/16", with the MSD we have 1/2".

I would get some new one for back-up.....you don't want it to break it when you do the install & than try to find some wires!!!!

I use the pre cut Callaway wires they fit much better with the headers.

This is what I would recommend also. I did put new wires on, but it was a want not a need.
