Tranny Overfill From Factory
Guys, a few days ago I reported a small moisture/drip from the tranny on my '05 MN6 Z51 with 6300 miles. I had it checked out today by the dealer and when they removed the plugs, about a pint of extra fluid drained out! It has never been touched since leaving the factory until today.
No telling if that will be the cause/fix to the moisture drip on my tranny, but I sure hope it will be okay now.
The service procedure describes filling the tranny until the fluid is even with the bottom of the FILL plug hole. Apparently there was too much in there from the factory. I don't think that the dealer adds tranny fluid at delivery.
I would recommend checking your level soon to prevent any transmission problems! Anyone with any similar findings?
