What is the normal oil pressure my 07 should be running ? Went out for a ride today and noticed after a cold start (72 degrees outside) my oil pressure was as high as 57 psi. It usually runs around 38-42 once it's warmed up and maybe I just never payed attention but today was the first time I saw it that high (57). When it warmed up it was back around 40. Is this normal ??? Thanks for any input in advance. Oh I do have the Z51 package if that matters.
Abnormal would be single or triple digits. 57 cold is perfectly fine. The guage has red zones at the low and high pressures that would indicate a problem. 40's and 50's is comfortably in the middle of that guage.
Turn the DIC back to odometer, drive car, worry less. Don't look at the oil temp either, that will drive you nuts thinking it's too cold or too hot.
There are plenty of warning lights if something is actually wrong.
My stock oil pump pressures in my LS2 was 55 cold 38-40 warm. IN my new 427 motor with a high volume pump it runs 80psi cold and 55psi warm. These are the oil pressures that were in my old big blocks and small blocks of the 60's. Much better oil delivery up top to keep things cooler and well lubed

Sounds different from prior threads. I had/have 29 warmed up on 2 different oil pumps. I had the same on my C5 on 3 different pumps in 2 different engines. Never saw high 30's at idle. Cold pressure is relevant to the envirnment you live in.
