I have me Race Ready Performance electric exhaust cutouts, y pipes, etc right here ready to go on but my question is where did you get your power from? And is there an exisiting grommeted hole that I can use or did you drill to bring the switch inside the cabin?

Read here. I drilled a hole in the rear wheelwell after removing the inner fender. Great place.
How long can you run with them open? I've heard while open, without back pressure and running lean, you can burn up exhaust valves very quickly? What do you know about this? Is it a worry? I have a set of DMH cutouts on mine and I love the sound. I want to run with them open all the time.

The cutouts don't change the fueling very much. I have them and log my drag strip runs and fueling is about the same open or closed. Your computer can adjust closed loop fueling over 20% and open loop is quite rich from the factory.
A real concern is melting your rear spring. You must have proper turndowns to blow the exhaust on the ground instead of the spring. Some folks over in the C5 section have melted their rear springs running them open on track days. Get under your car- you see black marks where the exhaust hits so make sure it's not hitting where it shouldn't.
