Hello..new to the forum. Since there are so mnay Corvette people here can I get some feedback on what anyone thinks about what tires people seemto find the best? I have the stock Goodyears and am pushing 391 RWHP and am getting ready to do a Head & Cam and adding 3:42 gears from 3:15 that should put me around 445 to 460 RWHP. Currently I can hardly get any hookup in first gear, (Auto trans) and some trouble in 2nd. One of my concerns is since there is no spare I am worried about not running a run flat!!!! Any suggestions would really help.
Run flats offer safety if you have a blow out, stability will be much improved and keep things under control better.
I think some are quick to ditch them and may be getting rid of an important safety feature. I know they are a compromise but I will take that margin of safety thank you.
If racing a lot, investing in rims and specialized tires you swap at the track is another solution.
