If I have my gears changed out, will a dealer mechanic be able to tell just by looking under the car? Is the case different or marked?

with a new case from dte he can. stock case, no he wont. but can tell when he drives it, dont let them road test

If the outside of the case doesnt have stickers and such on it they wont notice. It will be the rare tech that drives these things often enough to notice the difference by feel. My car has been in a number of times for various ailments including fixing a trans leak and they never picked up on it. Gears are for all practical purposes invisible to the dealership.

We clean the cases, but for the most part they look completely stock on the outside.
