bumper cover adjustment, help body men!

Fit and finish on my car is the best I have ever seen on a Corvette but I have a very critical eye. Everytime I approach my car I notice that where the bumper cover meets the hood it is slightly lower than the hood (i.e. 1/8"). Is there anyway to shim it or adjust it upward to perfectly align with the hood. I would rather not take it to a dealer, they would probably laugh at me and then screw it up too! Anybody have the procedure on doing this?

I guess I wasn't quite clear, the hood is spot-on on the outside edges, but near the center , the hood is slightly higher than the bumper cover.

There are 6 or 7 bolts that hold the top of the cover to the front which you can see when you raise the hood. I just replaced my bumper and just screwed it right in without issue so I didn't have to check it out very closely. I would think you could remove those bolts and put some washers under the bumper cover and then bolt it back down to get the result you want. This of course is on my C5. I don't know if it changed any on the C6.
