When we got our 05 it allready had the Corsa Touring system on it would rather have the sport can it be converted or is a complete different system.Our old C5 had a sport system and sounded much better than the 05 does.

I was under the impression the only difference between Touring and Sport was the Touring came with the x-pipe and the Sport did not.

All you have to do is change the X-pipe

The Touring system has resonators in the x-pipe. All you need is an OEM H-pipe or an aftermarket x-pipe without the resonators.

only thing differrent on the touring is that it has an additional "touring resonantor" which is what makes it the less aggressive touring.

Simply take out that resonator and your back to having a Sport. I think though once you take out that resonator you will have to replace that missing piece with an x-pipe or h-pipe. Otherwise all your piping won't connect. I am sure there are several members who would love to give thier stock H-pipe up to clean up the garage.

Hope it helps. Check out my old vids of my corsa sports...sounds good. See ya,

you may want to check with forum memeber "mfinocc"

I have met with him a couple times and he is a nice guy and he lives on the north side of town in orlando i believe. he's running headers and corsa sport so he's probably not using his original pipes.

I have the Corsa Touring on my car, part #14168.

As you can see from the picture below, it has:

* Two small resonators that connect to the stock cats.
* An "H" pipe with long narrow resonators on each side that make up 40% or so of the pipe length
* Two over-the-axle pipes
* Two muffler barrels with dual round tips.

If you want to make it louder, start with taking the two small resonator pipes off and replace with straight thru pipes that Cosa sells. If you want louder still, remove the "H" pipe and replace with an "X" pipe. At this point, I believe you now have what makes the Corsa Sport system.

Thats right, except the touring has an H-Pipe not X. See it in the picture..
I put the touring on, then replaced it with the stock H-Pipe. It sounded a little louder, but not much.

Now I have headers with the Corsa mufflers, it sounds much better.
