Anyone know where I can get a really, really excellent 4-wheel alignment on my C6? How do you know who knows what they're doing and who doesn't? Every tire shop says they are pros.... how do I even know their equipment is properly calibrated?
Anyone know of a Corvette alignment expert in the Southern California / Orange County area? The Chevy dealers? West Coast Corvette? Orange County Corvette?
Everyone says they're an expert. But who really is?
Me too! Would like to know where to go for alignment. Got one at my dealer long time ago @ $99, but they can't do alignments on weekends so I've check other dealers and they are all charging $200+! I don't mind going to Firestone or other alignment places, as long as their price is reasonable and the person doing it knows how to make all those adjustments at the control arm connection points if needed.

Call Al at LAPD - (877)843-5273. Ask him about the guy they use.
Wow - 13 Million people and we can't get a good alignment!
Wow, folks....we have some 13 Million people in the Los Angeles and Orange County (Southern California) metropolitan area... and no one (at least responding) has a good alignment recommendation! Wow... there's a business opportunity here for someone....
I'll respond. I'm one of two brake and frt end techs at cormier chevy. I can do an alignment to whatever spec you want or just factory specs. I think we charge $100 for a 4-wheel alignment. (not sure but I can find out) We have an in ground alignment pit, so lowerd cars are not a problem. We just updated our alignment Machine, it's less than 1 year old. I dont claim to be an expert, but have been working there for quite along time. We can do alignments on Saturdays, however i'm off this Saturday.
Blkvet6, I would be more than happy to align your car for you.
Vette6500 this applies to you also.

Thank you, Al, OK if I ask for you specifically? Time?
Thank you, Al.... guess I just have to make sure I can get your services, ie. You are working the day I come in. I hope it's OK if I specifically request that you do the alignment? Also, about how long does it take you to do a good alignment (the whole shubang, not just toe in/out)? Say, for example, could I bring the car in at 2pm on a weekday and just wait? Thx, Keith (blkvet6)

I don't own a vette yet (waiting for the 08 w/ LS3) but I take my current car (Nissan 350Z Track) to Preston Tires at La Mesa. They use Hunter alignment equipment.
I had my '99 aligned at a Sears store in Montclare, Ca. and the person doing the alignment was their only female technician/mechanic working there. She was recommended and sure enough, she knows what she is doing. I never got her name I'm sorry to say, but my '99 came out perfect.
Big O tire in Pacific Beach ... Talk to David Garmo .. They have a really new machine and they did my allignment perfect.. Tell them Franswa sent U and he should give you a good price also good deals on tires , oil changes , Etc..
