i was driving and gave it a little gas to pass a car then i saw and it said engine drag control engaged i think anyone ever see that or knows if its good or bad
ENGINE DRAG CONTROL ACTIVE: This message
displays when engine drag control is active. When
driving in a lower gear in rainy, snowy or icy conditions,
and then letting up on the accelerator or downshifting,
the rear wheels may begin to slip and this message
appears. This message will stay on for a few seconds
following the engine drag control event.
This was designed to help in reducing rear lift at high speed deceleration. It is done by the PCM varying the ignition timing from 10-40 degrees and "blipping" the throttle slighty at the same time.

I caught all this while logging data!
Thanks for the post! I was just thinking of this question.
There's a really big thread in General Discussion about a guy who says he rolled his convertible after it supposedly went off the road after downshifting instead of upshifting. EDC should have helped him. Maybe he had AH turned off. I guess there's a limit to what it can do. Say you downshifted to first instead of getting third like you expected. No way EDC could prevent slippage.
