Do a search on it (I assume you mean the Halltech Stinger). I have read a lot of good things about them and very few negatives. From what I have read most get about 8-11 rwhp. If you go on Halltech's website they have a video of an install. After hours and hours of researching I decided to go with the Callaway Honker CAI but haven't installed it yet. Since you already ordered the Halltech give it a try and let us know what you think.

I already had the Stinger, this is the cold air induction from the grill to the Stinger. I guess i'll be able to give you guys a report in a few days.

that piece is the same one that is already on your car. only difference is it has 2 holes with a screen on the outer edges of the front grill. just cut the holes yourself like many of us has done and return the item in question. if you think you want to keep the original piece, taking that piece out is a really pain, i am not sure you want to put it back to stock after doing this.
I made 2 rwhp on a dyno back to back. Not worth the effort. Lets not go into the discussion of air moving in front of the car and "ram air" and all that crap. I had a tuner tell me it would make 15rwhp. My car was strapped on the dyno already and I told him that I would buy it and anything else in his shop if it made 10. So, we installed it and it was what it was. Immediately put the stock one back on and lost 2 rwhp so it was no hokey cooldown thing.
I fabricated the piece form my stock one. Hardest part was getting it out of the car, You really need the manuals to make sure you get all the fasteners located. Didn't seem to make any difference in SOTP performance.

I added the cold air induction as well. I used the local 1/8th mile in an attempt to gauge performance. No increase in performance with the cold air as well.

Well, DAM! Not the first time I wasted a couple hundred bucks!

Guess i'll put it on anyway.
you didn't waste anything. these 2 holes help bring in cooler ambient air into the engine compartment as you are moving. this will help you reduce iat timing pull by the pcm. pcm starts to pull timing at 86*.

I agree with the above, I wouldn't say it's a waste. I'm just one person with a single experience. If you don't run at the track or care about the quickest ET, the Halltech is good enough IMO.
I installed the cold air piece as well. It's not a waste, as it is a good alternative to getting cold air to the filter area without cutting the shroud, or using ram air setup. For me, the ram air piece from Vararam would have been right behind my license plate anyways.
I think some folks think your talking about the Stinger itself.
CBR was right, you could make changes to your original piece, as I don't think I will change it back out, but I have to option to do so if needed. It also educated me on how all the items on the front nose are attached to the car.
