New flowmaster kit just came today. Does anyone have any helpfull tip for putting them on? Do I really need to take the H pipe off? I thought maybe I could just unbolt the stock system in front of the axal and slide the new on. I have a 6spd man. Thanks!
You might be able to do the job without removing the H-Pipe BUT your life will be much easier if you DO go ahead and remove the pipe. It doesn't take much time or effort to remove the H-Pipe and the possible frustration you won't have is worth it.
If you have an Automatic, you DO NOT have to cut the passenger side pipe like the instructions say. Check this link for details.

I agree on removing the the H-Pipe, it's very easy anyway.
I have a Manual trans and I had to cut a 1/2 inch of the passenger side to get it to fit right. Sounds good and the price is right, but the quality is not that great.

Yes! You have to take off the X pipe. Alot easier and I don't think you can put the Muff's on without taking the X off. Put mine on a month ago..... You could take it to a Muffler place and pay $50 to $90 to have it done. GOOD IDEA...
