Default new flowmasters installed

I put my flowmaster on my stock 07 today. They sound good, but to quiet for me. I don't hear any drone at all. With the windows up at highway speeds it sounds stock. I think with header and high flow cats it will be perfect. On my scale they weighed the same as the stock exhaust. Getting everything to fit together was a bit of a job, best to have two people. I like to looks of the fm better than stock. Overall for $380 I'm pretty happy. I have read some posts on here about how bad the drone is, I really don't hear any. I'll have to drive it some more to be sure but so far

No it wont. There is no packing in these mufflers, just metal baffles and those dont move or break in. The only thing that can happen is the material in your stock cats can deteriorate, but that will take thousands of miles and you wouldnt notice a difference in sound, just less power from clogged cats.. Thats the facts. Get long tubes with highflow cats and you will love the flowmasters.

I was worried about the flowmasters having the dreaded "drone" and being too loud but I have heard the Corsa exhaust and IMO they sound too much like a European car. More of a high pitched sound. The FM's have that deep throaty conventional Muscle Car sound! For $351 shipped on Ebay I figured what the heck. I have LG longtubes with high flow cats and x pipe. My expectations were by far exceeded!!! They are actually not as loud as I had anticipated which isn't a bad thing. When you are agressive on the throttle it sounds awesome but at normal cruising speeds mello and I don't hear any drone? I am soooooo glad I didn't spend around $1000 dollars to make my car sound like a European car!! To each his own and everyone likes different sounds but IMO the FM's are a really great muffler for the money!!

Without cats the flowmasters more often than not have the drone... It seems to be worse with the autos, maybe because of where in the rpms band they are when you are cruising along.

Just an FYI, I can easily beat the jegs price by at least a few dollars... Help your sponsors guys, not the place that looks to put the small guys out of business
