CV joint boot tear

Just noticed a very small tear in the CV joint boot, just inboard of the retaining band. Grease was sprayed on the the control arm joint and inside the wheel and behind the inside of the caliper.
I'm in Germany on a trip to Normandy and LeMans, and am wondering how long I can go before it needs to be redone. Hopefully after I get the car back home?

A rainy day will be your worst enemy. Since the tear is small, clean it with alcohol, and use some silicon to make a temporary repair. Good luck.

My CV cracked open and spun grease inside the rim. Just had it replaced last week and they now say I need an entire axle. Seems it had a burr somewhere? It's a 5 hour job.
