Well I though I would try a simple add on to improve performance a little so the Kill Bee AAIS got installed. I have a 2007 C6 A6 which now can be fitted with the AAIS kit. The kit comes in two pieces. The air intake system and the software are shipped separate. The air intake is well built and comes completely assembled – you just remove the old air intake system and install the new. I installed the air filter last in order to get the large rubber connector to fit onto the intake without it folding over. All the wiring and tube connections worked just fine.
Loading the software on the laptop went well although I would suggest a reboot after the installation. The only problem I had and this was due to my inexperience was getting the ignition on. Finally after getting in the car with the FOB, pressing the break and placing the car in drive was I able to establish communications with the ECM. After that I was able to read and write the ECM. Jim at Halltach was great and answered all my questions in a very timely fashion. I was impressed with Jim’s dedication and appreciation towards customers.
After the installation of the air intake and downloading my ECM with code provides from Jim at Halltech I took a ride to see how she’d work. With the added 10 to 15 HP I did notice a difference. It felt more responsive and pulled a little better at full throttle. The experience with installations and performance makes this a good choose if you want a little extra boost. As far as the price is concerned it’s a little more expensive then other intake options but the service and support from Jim at Halltach is unmatched.

Now come out and meet us at Firebird so we can confirm that extra 10 rwhp.
Personally, I don't like top breathers because they still pull from the same hot engine compartment as the stock inlet. I just don't understand the factory and why they did that? I'm running the Excelerator which is the Honker rip off. We've compared my IAT's with a good friend with the K&N and even though he does get down to the same IAT's as I do, it takes at least 10 seconds longer. And that's even with the free mod of propping open the shroud and he cut the sides like the Halltech CAI.
Good point, I haven't even been since it turned hot. Really there is no reason to go out and run slowly in the heat. So keep us in mind and come out when it cools off this fall, you'll have a blast.
did your check eng. light come on? how much was the software? because I have the same & got tune by someone, he told me that map is no good, it will not out flow the stock map & check eng. light come on after about 1-2 day of drving. I'm thinking of taking out the map & putting back the stock map. if you want cold air you could check out this at www.theair-changer.com
Have not driven many miles yet but I would be very suprised if I get any lights. Jim at Hllltech has a car with 4000 miles and no lights. The software is listed on Halltech site. I will be driving this weekend to get more miles so I will keep an eye on it.

Had a chance to do some test driving this weekend. We started in Tempe with stops in Pine and Show Low Arizona which is at 6400 feet. We traveled back to Phoenix with temperature at 110 degrees. My fuel usage was 27 MPG. The car ran fine on the flat and climbing long streaches of highway - all with NO codes. The Killer Bee is a solid produce!
