I've noticed over the passed month as I get into my car and hit the start button, it requires the I push the button (3) spearate time before it turns over and starts. Occurs aout 50% of the time. It's either (1) push of the button to start or (3).....never (2).
??? What's up? Are the batteries in my FOB going dead? It's not the battery (I hope), it's a fairly new dry cell and it starts right up with no lag. I have an '05, but have never had the pleasure of the D.B.S.....(yet).

Any suggestions?
If I put mine into my left pants pocket, or a shirt pocket, I get the same thing. I have to keep it in my right pants pocket.
I'd change the battery in the FOB and make sure that it is being recognized when you get into the car.
This happened to me the other day for the first time since I had the car. No clue to what it was all about. I had the fob right at the start button too. Probly on the sixth attempt it worked.
FOB battery--I don't know for sure if this was the problem, but in my case, it eliminated the issue. I replaced the fob battery and haven't had any more problems. I just figured the battery in the fob was getting weak/low and was causing the problem. I usually start with the least expensive, simpliest soultion and work the problem from there.
