I while back, had purchased a full set of new Z06 shocks, but never installed them. That was before I purchased my S/C last month. Now I see what eveyones been talking about when it comes to traction issues and "wheel hop" .
I've read several post that claim the Bilstein shocks are the way to go to help eliminate wheel hop. Just wondering how they compare to the factory Z06 shock before I go through the hassel of installing them.

Feedback anyone?
I have not tried the Z06 shocks but I can tell you the Bilsteins are a nice upgrade over the Z51 shocks. I'm not sure about the wheel hop issue but the car definitely handles alot better.
Two rear Z06 shocks completely eliminated my wheel hop. I also have a Z51 rear bar with polyurethane bushings. The bar did not eliminate the wheel hop but helped traction greatly by keeping the car closer to level at launch.

i swaped out my Z06 shocks for bilstein sports. the sports better control the car and especially the rebound. they seem about 10% stiffer but surprisingly, offer a more supple ride. in other words, more controlled and less jittery. the faster/more aggresive you drive, the more the bilstein's differenciate themselves from the z06 shocks.
between the 2, the bilstein is without a doubt an appreciable upgrade to the factory z shocks
Appreciate the info. Don't mean to get too far off thread topic but how do the Bilsteins ride like bricks under everyday driving? Are they meant really for the track? Or can anyone with Z06, Z51 and F55 get appreciable upgrades and still be a good daily driver?

I have bilstein over the base shocks. While the ride is harsher, I feel like it's very comfortable. I've done a few long trips and have no real complains on the change.
Bilsteins absorb sharp bumps a lot better than the Z51 shocks. Switched them out and car is no longer skittish in turns. Feels more planted. Ride is more firm but bumps are less sharp.
Anyone know if the travel is the same as the GM shocks? Is travel the same on all of them?
bilsteins have a slightly shorter shock body and a little less travel than the Z06 or C6 shocks because they were originally built for the C5. they work great with lowered cars and can handle stock ride height as well
I went from Z51 shocks to Bilstein sport shocks. The street/highway ride became less bumpy and the road holding improved in that the tires stay on the ground more, thus when you hit bumps in a corner, the tires don't get airborn as much which results in the car bouncing/skipping/hopping sideways towards the outside of the corner. Small cost for big improvement. I also found changing the stock GY runflats to non runflats also improved the harseness of the ride.
Bilsteins cured my wheel hop with street tires, but with BFG drag radials I still have some wheel hop when speed shifting from 1st to 2nd. I have 460 RWHP with 4.10's.
