Going to be putting Headers on my C6, and really want the LGs, but curious if anyone has the Billy Boat Headers. I have the BB Bullet exhaust on already, and love the finish and sound. The BB Headers are alot cheaper than the LGs, but I don't know anyone who has them.
Sux2bme, how do they sound compared to the LGs? I know the LGs sound INCREDIBLE, but if the BB headers sound as good as the Bullets, they should sound great too!
What is the diameter of the collector on the BBs? Pretty sure the LG Pros have a 3 inch.
I have B&B headers, and Bullet PRT... sounds awesome and its actually quieter then bullets alone. I made the same power as the other LT header cars on the same dyno. The headers look amazing.
This is with a cory harris manifold, LPE intake dyno tuned by Rick@synergy.
I was feeling like the best mod path would be B&B bullets, ported intake manifold, LPE intake and a cam... best bang for the $$$ by far.

bdking57...........I assume you are catless since you are running the headers and the PRT section. I've heard there's a odor problem without cats......have you noticed this? How did the sound change after the header install?
Thanks

How are the BB Headers to install? I have heard some of the others are easy on the C6 but I dont know anyone that has installed the BB Headers yet. I really like their catback exhausts and have been thinking about their headers.

i have no cats and i don't smell anything while in the car. perhaps it would be different if i was standing behind my tailpipe.

i am catless without a tune and no check engine lite, but i am using $30 o2 sims from member cbrf4i1.
I Have total BB Block to Bumper. I only wish the headers on My '87 IROC were this easy to install.
I will gladly send you a sound/video clip from inside the car if you'd like. It is .mov format.
When i purchased the package, I received the headers first. I put them on, and hooked them up to the stock H-pipes that came w/ the car. That in-itself was a sweet improvement. Because the headers are long tube, you eliminate the Cats that were on the down tubes. So for a week or so, I had no cats, and had a check engine light (Duuuhhhhh). I had BB hi-flow cats welded in at the front of the X-pipes, and BB sent O2 sensor extension wires with heat insulators. Because you need one O2 sensor before the cat, and one after, you need to route the O2 wire extensions up and out of the way. Once I got the X-pipes with the cats put on, the check engine light went off of course. I originally had BB Route 66 muffs, but the car was not loud enough to bother my neighbors, so I traded someone here on the forum for the Bullets. (My neighbors are now thoroughly irritated now, thankyou BB).
I do ALL my own work (no-one touches my baby), and i was impressed how well the car is to work on doing something like this header install.
Send me a private message if you would like to have a copy of the sound/video clip. I am in Chandler AZ, and BB is in North Phx about 30 miles away. That was one of the factors that influenced my purchase.... I like to deal locally.
