I am looking for input on the "get it right the first time" experiences. I would like to get the trans beefed up and wanted to know if anyone went this route and if it was a first time is a charm situatin with no issues.
If you had a bad first round what was the problem and how and how fast was it handled.
i have had 2 trannies built by RPM(level4). an M6 that i fried in my old C5 and an M12.
i had my little bro take the car up to him for the swap. he has a first class operation and he is a stand up guy. more importantly, his transmissions were silky smooth without any problems.
the M6 basically had 4th to 6th gears left that worked. 1 to 4 were fried. my brother drove that thing 1k miles up to Rodney's shop for a built one he had waiting for me.
after about a few thousand miles, rather than do a rear end swap, i traded my built M6 in on another built m12, also by Rodney.
both times, rodney was very fair with me with the core credit. a lot of the big name tuners contract rodney for their tranny needs cause i have seen his crated units in a few shops here
if you have problems, i dont doubt at all that rodney will take care of it
PM users wanttospeed and retrotech (they hang on the C5 side). They have experience exactly on point to your question but I don't want to misquote them publicly.

I guess it finds first and reverse like a real trans should? Ihave had issues with getting into these 2 gears since the first month of getting this car. I'm tired of it and last night it popped for good.
I have had transmission work as well by Rodney. I could not say enough to you about how good and proffesional Rodney and his team are. I have been at his shop a couple of times. Great shop and great products.
On my last trip to his shop he put rear gears in my car and I picked up a RPM transmission for my viper friend. We put his trans in two weeks ago and he loves the new trany.
I have not had any problems with any of his products. I feel certain that if I had any problems; Rodney and his shop would do whatever it takes to fix the problem.
RPM builds the best trans , period . And there customer service is excellent .
I'm sure they are great builders of the units but does it still have the issue going into first gear? They can build great units and still have what may be a design flaw of the MZ6.
