Wow, great thread! So what is a ball park on the complete conversion using GM fenders, wheels and including paint???
i figure, with careful shopping, around $10K. breakdown: $4500 body conversion, $1200 paint (bc/cc - standard colors), $1300 brakes, $1000 wheels (GM used), $1500 tires, $500 miscellaneous. i maybe off a little, but i think it's a good ballpark number...
Are the brake air cooling ducts functional on a stock 2006 C6 Z51 (Front and Rear) or do you have to have the Z06 fenders?
Also, can you use the stock tires, wheels and brakes with the Z06 conversion package? That would save a bundle if you did not have to do those mods. I expect that might look funny if the tires did not match the fender size?? Anyone thought about this before? I was thinking about just doing the rear fender package but was unsure if you had to do wheels, tires and brakes along with it? Has anone just done the rear fenders only mod and stayed with stock C6 wheels, tires and brakes?
