Thanks for the props and she does indeed do a very good job up there in the front office. She knows "cars" better than most and I guess it comes from being surrounded by them everyday.

Anytime you have a question, let us know.

I wonder how much $ install would be??
Installation w/ PCM calibration (if you have an auto) typically comes in around $400-$600, depending on your location and the prevailing shop labor rates in your area.

A huge acceleration performance increase of the car with this 3.15 gear set, compared to the stock parts- which is pretty much the same gains everyone gets with their cars regardless of vehicle modifications when lower gear ratios are installed. The A6 equipped C6 Corvette reacts no different.

Hi Phil:

What are your thoughts regarding the above post and the need to re-turn after a break in period?

You'll need to have the TCM re-calibrated for the new shift points and transmission shifting strategies for this differential, (just like the C5 platform) in addition to the speedometer corrections also needed for the gear change, since the A6 driveline does *not* sample VSS from the differential like the C5 did, but rather from the trans. output shaft itself. Some of the A6 driveline engineering is totally backwards from what the C5 platform was.

Default The best upgrade...

We accelerate way more than we drive 140+. I love my gears! It makes more sense on the power band and not hard on the rest of the car. 3.15 is the way to go.

I agree 100% . After the install , you will ask yourself " why did I wait soooo long to get these gears ? " . You will not be disappointed !

The lower gears will also provide a much better deceleration from engine braking, as well as being easier on the brakes.
