caliper bracket quest
I want to make sure I understand, Z51 vs standard brackets for the brake calipers, the front are different and the backs are the same, Is that correct? Thanks!

i talked to craig at hp performance he said that they are the same on the rear, not on the front,
can someone confirm this?
i just ordered 2 new ones for the rear as i did a caliper swap with someone
his car was base, mine was f55,
he gave me my front brackets and the new calipers back seperate, but told me the rears were the same,
i just ordered new rears as someone said they are different, looking at them , they look the same to me?

The brackets front and rear have to be different because the Z51 rotors are larger in diameter than the base suspension model.

f55, and z51
the z51 and f55 show a different part # than the base suspension

yeah, but you know whats funny?
the brackets holding from the base suspension actually appear to hold the pad further away rather than closer?
you would think it would be the opposite, if the other rotors were smaller, the pad would almost not touch the smaller rotor
unless, the rotors i have just have more surface and they are the same

Z51 brackets are indeed different, no matter what anyone tells you. I only deal in calipers and I know them inside and out. The base suspension brackets do not hold them closer, here are the 2. The longer bracket is the Z51 / 07+ f55. no matter what any expert tells you. I had to go to PBR and then inform Chevy that they had the wrong part number for Z51 rear rebuild kits, so I think I know of what I write, especially after disassembling / reassembiling about 700 sets of calipers.
