Default Borla stinger or borla touring?

Hey guys! Ready to pick out a new exhaust and the wife is concerned that it is going to soung like some young punks car. I know its my ride but I still have to live with her.. I would love some comments or input. I use the vette sometimes as a daily driver but its our "date car". My ten year old thinks it would be great but my concern is how loud is it at normal driving speeds vs gettin on her. Please advise

I've had my new Borla Sports/Stingers/Aggressive for a little over a week now and I'm already use to them. They really sound good.

They're not loud most of the time but bad at wot and when you want them to be. You and she'll love it because it's the way a Corvette is suppose to sound.

Or, you can just say that they're the touring.

The stingers are not that loud...even at WOT they arent that bad.

They sound good though. I'd regret having gotten the touring version because it definatley would've been too quiet.

I got mine without the x-pipe and don't plan on putting one on anytime soon.

Get the Borla Stingers #11744s without the x-pipe.

They are loud, but not OBNOXIOUS, they don not produce uncomfortable drone, and your wife will like them also.

I tell everybody this, you can put on an exhaust that you can hear or you can put on an exhaust that gives you goosebumps, Borlas give you goosebumps

I've had:

B&B Bullets (too much teeth rattling drone)
Corsa Sports (throaty, but too quiet)
Corsa Sports with headers (nice, but I don't want headers)
I currently have Magnaflow #15884s (deep, but too quiet)
and Borla Stingers #11744s (deep, throaty, and just the right volume)

So it seems the x pipe is a waste of money? Is there any performance gain if I chose to go with it. Sorry for all the questions, just lookin out for my baby!

The Borla Stingers are in my opinion the best sounding exhaust for this vehicle

I would NOT get the X-pipe unless you are absolutely certain 100% that you will not install headers. If you add headers you will then need to get ANOTHER X-pipe.

The Stingers are a sort of split personality exhaust in thet they can sound very civil if not driven like you "stole" the car. Hit the gas and it exudes a snarl. Really hit the gas and it sounds like a race car on the track.

It's weird but it does not take long to become de-sensitized to the loudness of your exhaust. I have read few posts where people have changed the Stingers because they were too much exhaust for them.

Drone is another story though. The 1500-1900 rpm range on the highway is certain compromise to the great points of this exhaust. Driven with some proper attention though the drone can be minimized.

Of course adding Headers puts you into even a higher bliss.

If you like the muscle car sound then the stingers would be perfect. Quite civilized at idle, loudish at acceleration and at WOT everyone's going to know you're coming. Very nice burble on deceleration.
The drone is not bad at all. My wife has no complaints about it and believe me if it was bad/annoying I'd hear about it.
From what I understand the x-pipe will reduce the burble on decel. Me? I love the burble so no x-pipe here.
And, those 4 inch cannons coming out of the back look awesome.
My stingers are probably my favorite mod so far.
