Default Do it Yourself center hood louvers from LG Motorsports

Hi Guys,

For the do it your selfers we have a center louver as above photo in stock ready to graft into your stock hood or an Ebay stock hood.

It has the top and bottom edges in place for indexing it into place. We just have the center louvers available.

For the dIY Corvette owners and Track time racers, this looks like the alternative to a full louvered hood.

Price for the center section ready to install is $359.00 and it is small enough to ship UPS, so the shipping won't be very much.

I have only 5 of these in stock ready to ship.

So for those of you who were trying to come up with an alternative, give us a call.

Thanks
Lou Gigliotti

Here are a couple of photos. (Very similar to the Center World Challenge hood louvers.

PS, Don't worry, I had "Felt" under the part to place it on the hood for the photo

they are functional. They just have to be opened up. They don't come out of the molds open so they normally have to be trimmed out.

thanks

That's what he said. Make sense to me. If he had to hand cut the louvers, the part would cost twice as much.

not making sense to me, hand cutting the louvers alone will not allow hot air under the hood to escape. there is no opening for the stock hood, none the last time i check at least. am i missing something here? twice as much? ok, where did lg say this?

He did not say it, I am only giving my opinion on the cost. I guess I don't understand the question. I would call LG in a couple of hours and talk to them. Dallas is only a 2 hour flight on Southwest, so why don't just go see them.

Of course you have to open up your stock hood. This is not something for the average joe to do at home. You would have to graft the pat to the hood, open the louvers in the part, and open the bottom of the stock hood to let the heat out.

Hi guys,

This part was made in response to a thread on the Road Racing AutoX section where guys were getting Lowes or Home Depot louvered A/C vents and putting them in their hoods to help with some down force.

A new, properly louvered hood usually runs in the $1500+ cost. And a full Carbon Fiber hood is over $2000.

So we developed this part to satisfy the need for more down force without buying a complete hood.

I am also aware that not that many Corvette owners will go to the trouble to buy a spare hood to cut up and install these louvers in. (that is why we only bought 5 of these)

But for the Track Time guys who like building their own cars, this is a good alternative.

And for those who want to pay $1595 for a good Louvered hood, you can opt for our new LG C6 Louvered hood and leave the DIY to others. (Photo below)

Sorry for the confusion.

Lou Gigliotti LGM

So,for 395,or whatever it is,I get to keep my hood and get it louvered too.Sounds ok to me.Lou,are there any issues with louvered hood and water running down the holes if one gets caught out in the rain???I actually bought some off ebay for my car, that were really c4 louvers and smaller than this thing.Any pictures of these louvers on a car??Or will it look just like the hood pictured??And no,I haven't read every post!
