UPS man just dropped off my new honker. I just read through the instuctions. I'm don't really understand why I have to raise and lower the car? If I need room to get under the car can I just run it up on my ramps to start with? Any other tip/tricks that I should know?
Thanks as always!

I did mine on the ground ie no lifting or ramps. The lower center shroud pin is a moly bolt type pin. Just pull out the raised center portion to release.
Remove all pull pins and 7mm bolts under front fascia. This allows you to flex things around a little and not make it all so tight.
Remove radiator shroud cover.
Remove shroud. The shroud also has two push pins on each side.
If you have a Z51, you will have some extra plumbing on the passengers side to deal with, not remove, just they kinda get in the way. You will want to flex the shroud from underneath while someone pulls it up and out.
Use the black gasket material around the edges you cut when you rivet the honker frame to the shroud. Makes a nice seal.
Search the forum for some other tips, I think there is a also a step by step somewhere.
