Default Borla plus Kooks -will it work

Hey guys, ordered the Borla Stingers. Getting ready to get the Kooks with High flow cats. Will I have any problem bolting it all up, or should it fit just fine? Thanks in advance.
Cheers!

Like a muscle car should sound. The drone at 1800 rpms is pretty significant inside the car but the sound outside is awesome.

Shouldn't have a warranty problem with the drive train either.

Nice, but where are you sitting, inside or outside??

I like the Borlas on my C4. But I can't imagine them with headers.

My C6 has headers and Corsas, less drone than my C4 with just Borlas.

It depends what you like.

I obviously ride inside the car but have the windows down the majority of the time. That's why I answered him like I did. With the top out, it just takes it to another level. It all depends upon what you like.

Hey, If the cops don't mess with you and you don't mind a monster sounding Vette go for it I bet that combo will sound amazing!
*Please post a few sound clips if you go that route
Oh I almost forgot, Yes it should bolt on fine...Not 100% sure, but you should probably use the Kooks Catted X. Best of luck

Wicked loud when you stand on it, I changed to Corsa Sports only to get rid of the drone.

Awesome! Thanks. Getting ready to pull the trigger in the next 24 hours on the headers, getting very anxious to get the Borlas...! Hopefully by the end of the weekend I will have it all installed. I'll be sure to post a sound clip as soon as I do! Cheers.

Also, since it looks as if I will receive the Headers and catted x - BEFORE - I receive the Borlas, will I have any problem installing the Headers, cats an using the factory axle back exhaust? Then when I get the Borlas it should be a quick install. Anyone see any problems with that plan? Thanks!

Well I just pulled the trigger on a set of LG long tubes with high flow cats - Thanks Bobby! After talking with them it was just nice to have a knowledgable voice on the other end of the line to give me some info. That in addition to the fact that I have always loved Borla made it a fairly easy choice. When all is said an done I will have the LG Longtubes, high flow cats, and Stingers. I will be sure to post before and after pics and videos.

A couple of quick questions on the install -

- Everyone keeps saying to re-use the old gasket instead of getting the new ones that come with it - why??
- I saw an installation article that says the torque specs are 11 on the first pass and 18 on the second pass. Is that correct?
- Do I have to remove the plugs/wires to do the install?

Thanks again!

The gaskets that come with the headers are some kind of fiber, the oem ones are metalic. I used a new set of oem ones. The plug wires have to come off, but the spark plugs can stay if your careful. The torque specs are correct. Enjoy your new set up.

Well I got the gaskets from GM, they had them in stock. They look like multi-layer sandwich type gaskets. Is that what they are supposed to look like? Also, I have not opened the package yet, but is there a right and wrong side to install them? Thanks!

The raised area of the gasket goes to the outboard side or against the headers. The GM gaskets should be metalic on each side with one side flat and the other should have a raised area that goes against the header. Now with the fiber ones that have like surfaces on each side it would not matter. Good luck, all the hard work will be worth it when you fire up your ride after the install.
