Default LS2 technical hel needed...

Alright I know this is the corvette C6 section, I have a C5 Zo6 and a Trailblazer SS with the LS2. No one on the TBSS site has been able to help yet so I was looking to pick someone's brain on here. On my Trailblazer SS I decided to wash and re oil my K&n drop in filter, do the whole process (Been using them for a long time, I don't think I over oil'd) and when I start her backup, my check gages light comes on, and then check engine. I re checked all connections, cleaned the MAF and started her back up again. This time only light on is check gages, I let it run for about 2 mins and the oil temp gauge never came up at all, stayed unmoved. Used Onstar to run diagnostic and they said they were getting a coolant system error, 3 of them. Any specific connections or things I should check before bringing it in for service??? ANY help would be awesome!

If you do, swap back in a paper filter. If your dealer feels like playing the "voiding game" he'll pull out the aftermarket filter card and you might not be covered.

Check all your connections. Sounds like you knocked a sensor wire loose.

How did you clean the MAF sensor? Should use electrical contact cleaner or alcohol.

I agree w/the knocking a wire loose theory and make sure you do put back the stock filters before going in,GM did a bulletin a year or two ago regarding oil from these things and no warranty because of it,so watch yourself.

Guys thanks for the advice, I went and bought a fram paper filter so I can bring it in tommorow. I am going to pull the battery cable now and check some fuses, connections, if I can't find anything its going in tommorow. Thanks to everyone for the help, you were more helpful than the TBSS forum.

Well I pulled the proper fuses, disconnected the battery, and checked all connections... Nothing was loose, the light is now obviously out because of the disconnecting/reconnecting of the battery, I drove it hard for about 10 mins and everything is clear, no lights on. I am going to bring it in this week and have it looked at to see if anything is still wrong, but it seems like I got it. Again thank you guys, this forum is awesome when you need help!

since you already disconneted the battery don't waste your time going back to the dealer unless the light is back. without it they can't tell you anything, battery disconnection = all trouble codes eraise.
