2008 A6 Manual Shift Upgrade
I was reading in Automobile Mag's review of the 2008 Z51, that the manual shift paddles on the A6 now change gears twice as quickly. Any idea whether this upgrade would be retrofittable into a 2007?

A forum member said that they were at an event where someone of some inside knowledge claimed the upgrade was software only and that it would be made available as a free upgrade.

I've talked with one of our states finest Chevy dealers and the vette tech said that the programming and the performance rear will be able to be retro'ed onto the 05-07s. My tuner, who is down the street from them, is gonna take his tech2 and download the tranny tune and I may pop for the performance ratio as well.....

That's odd I heard the opposite. I heard there were some hardware changes as well, but I hope not. Keep us informed.
