I have an 2006 C06 and my touch start doesn't function in the garage and I must place it in the slot in the glove box....There is an electric garage door opener above this area...Any thoughts for ideas???
In most cases, the garage door opener has only a receiver, the transmitter is in the remote unit. But all receivers are transmitters to some degree, its remotely possible that yours is leaking enough RF to interfere with the fob's radio. If so its probably broke rather than just made that way, as that much leakage would be way beyond normal. But certainly unplugging it is a good first step in problem diagnosis.
Other things to check would be things like a wireless weather station, intercom, etc. Or, of course, a nearby military base. Cell towers, wireless networking and the like aren't likely to be the culprit, as these things run on bands far removed from the 300MHz band the fob uses. The car does send a 125KHz wake-up signal to the fob, but interference with that is quite unlikely.

Works everywhere else.
Did you try fob #2? If that works, it's probably the fob battery.
I have a friend whose C6 had to be towed away from a Las Vegas neon sign that kept it from starting.
But I have never heard of home garage door openers doing this. After 3 years I'd think we'd hear about it more often.
Is there anything electronic that's in your car at start up time that isn't there later in the day? Like a cell phone or charger?
