Fixing to order an 08, getting the base LT2 vert in the new blue, grey top, two tone seats. Automatic this time with the performance gears. Everything else base as I will be changing the tires and wheels and complete exhaust etc. I am thinkg about getting the base non-Z51 and then installing coilovers with better sway bars.. What do you all think. Thanks Paul

Maybe not with some mods to the LT3 and no internal engine parts to mess up the engine warranty and with the new auto shift I am thinking they will be pretty quick.....plus I want a vert and the new blue is very close to my 69 vert blue.
I had forgot about the brakes, coolers etc. This may be a better plan.
remember there are no coolers on the z51 auto just the normal rad for the trans. im not going to let a modded 08 beat mine. come on your a ranger you can get them pulled over before the race is finished just kidding get what you want in life

true, I was thinking 6 speed, so just for the brakes I dunno...
