The car is sitting in a parking lot when it rains and you go to drive away it immediately runs like crap til somethin' dries out. Has anyone had this happen? I know it is electrical but the engine compartment is dry when I lift the hood. I took the cover off of everything to try and find condensation with no luck......Sounds like a warranty issue to me but if it is a simple silicone fix please let me know.
Just a few things to check. Is the seal under the hood in the front OK? Have you changed the air cleaner? Have you removed the cover over the stock air cleaner? Any one of these could cause water to get in the intake and cause problems.
Could it be that your Traction Control is kicking in. Mine does (z-51 with SC tires) with any amount of water on the road. Really feels like I am losing power and bad throttle response. Try Traction Control off next time (be careful) and see if it runs normally. Cheers - Jim
It's not TC brother, it runs like total crap....I mean it won't go 10 mph and spits and sputters til it runs long enough to dry something out then it runs fine.....I will try the TC just to eliminate another possibility, Thanks
but it sounds like something more is going on with yours. With the little bit of rain we get in Las Vegas, with it does rain, I can hardly get moving without sliding. Better after a good hard rain (but those are few and far between). Maybe the dealer can find a fault code or duplicate. Cheers - Jim

It sounds as if the ignition wires need to be replaced ! But your car is a 07 so that is doubtful good luck
