I installed a Vararam a few days ago and I just noticed a wierd noise which may be normal I don't know.
When I turn the car off it sounds like air is being pushed back out through the scoop. Its a quick fsssss when I turn it off. Has anyone heard this, is this normal?
Mine makes a hissing sound when I step on the gas. Never really payed attention to it when turning the car off. If its installed correctly and connection to the MAF is good you should have no worries.

It seems to be running good, and everything appears to be on tight. I noticed it last night after driving for awhile although today just turned the car on and let it idle for a minute and then shut it down and it was doing the same thing, it sounds to be coming right out of the front scoop, a little psssh sound.
I have the same "fsssss" sound when i turn off the car, i do believe it is normal though. As for when your riding and you step on the gas the hissing noise is normal because it is sucking in all the air like a vacuum.
