I suggest that you look at RHS/Patriot. Their 11 Deg valve angle is inviting.
AFR vs TrickFlo? IMHO it's a toss up. Watch the intake runner size. 205s are great for a moderate sized cam 228-232. Go much bigger and you'll want the 225cc runners.
I just did my 05. I went with CARTEK's stage 2X porting of the stock heads. With a 228/228 cam I'm making 471 RHWP. I just find it difficult to believe that with all the engineering know how at GM that an engineer at AFR or elsewhere can design a better product.
I would generally suggest the Trick Flow. We generally lean towards that direction because of the results that we have personally seen with them. We've paired them up a few different ways, even if you just want to street drive the car and dont really care what the car makes for power, the smaller cam with those heads does work out well and drives fantastic. Vengence has shown what happens when you push them, 500+ RWHP on a 346 has been done more then 10X now If you want to stay with a stock casting, TEA can set you up very nice for a very nice price as well
