What kind of power gains will I see? (I already have Honker and Corsa exhaust.)
Callaway has them - and it keeps the car emissions legal.
Thanks for info.

I think the majority of folks that have them here had them put on as part of a Callaway "package". Most posts I've seen from folks on this forum regarding the shorties is that you'll see minimal gains, but I can't recall anyone ever putting a number to "minimal". I don't think I've ever seen a before/after dyno regarding shorties, maybe you can be the first?!

Might have to call and ask Callaway.

I think I've read somewhere before they produce like 10 h.p. For what they cost, not too good h.p. per $. However, for those trying to keep their car legal and squeez every h.p. out, this may be the way to go.

Thanks for your replies. I would be happy with some SOTP feel (ie some additional torque), but it doesn't sound like it.

Not likely any SOTP difference but might sound good. I am yet to hear some with my own ears though for comparison.

Or less. My guess would be 5 RHWP. Long Tubes will get you 15.

Thanks for info.
Many states require accessories to be CARB approved to be emissions legal. Callaway and no other headers are CARB approved at this time. Callaway said they will be in the future.

Default Callaway Shorty Headers

sorry to bring this topic up again but with the advent of the LS3 I would really like to see an actual dyno run with them in a 2008 A6...I can visualize a mildly modified/excellent driveability A6 using these with a Killer bee/vette air combo... throw in a stock LS7 cam for good measure....$ is high versus performance but your avoid changing the cat location and/or the rest of the exhaust...for about $2500 parts may get 425 rwhp!

Keep in mind that the longtube gains are including the high flow cats....add those to the shorties and they'll wake them up.
