I would also like to know the answer to this question. Are the aftermarket seat covers specially stiched around the air bag area to allow the bag to burst through?

 

You are right in asking that question and be careful of what you buy. I am told that Katzkins are correct but I don't know that. I bought mine from Caravaggio and his are definitely made for the side air bags. I would guess that none of the inexpensive covers available handle the side airbags. I use the seat towels over my leather when I need a cover.
