I ran a scan with my HP Tuner on my 08 auto, 2.73 w/NPP. I recorded 4.438 seconds to accelerate from 25 to 75 mph. Started from a 10-15 mph roll but calculated the time starting at 25 mph. 75 mph takes me to almost the 2-3 shift with my 2.73 gear at 6197 rpm. Ambient temperature was 94*, IAT 104*, decaying to 102* by 75 mph. I was only at 3860 rpm at 25 mph. This converter is sure tight.
I was wondering how the '08 converter differs from the '06 and '07 versions (if at all) as well, my '06 converter feel very tight as well, likely very close in stall I would think.

No but if someone wants to come by with a laptop and HPT we can go test it.

My 07 felt the same stall converter rpm as best I can feel.
Come on down to Sugar Land and I'll can it for you!

I would love to come to TX (I should say come back to TX because I was there once (sleeping) for about 6 hours hours while passing through on the way CA LOL ), land of really fast street cars and a seemingly abundant amount of truly hot looking females.

We definitely have some hotties here. Come on down and check em out!
That was scan yours, not "can". Can't seem to type anymore.
Make sure you know who you are picking on too. You don't want to mess with some of the cars on this site - they be badazz!
Hey man to me a Simple Middle of second gear to about the end of 4th gear will determine what car has more power.. I love dyno numbers and sheets but remember not every car was dynoed the same day , conditions etc...
I may come up against an LS2 this weekend at the track. Assuming there is one that is still stock. Not too many at the track that are still stock.
Not too keen on street racing!
So lets see...
How are you planning on going from 25-75 mph on the track???
You mentioned about the seconds it took you to go from a certain mph to another how can you do that at the track??

Ah, run him off the roll.
BTW, the cars of which I speak are not dyno racers - and they do have badazz LS2 based cars. ( I can give you some names if you like, but hang out here long enough and they will be apparent without any fanfare...)

if the speed limit isn't 75 in Texas,
and holding it to the floor from 25-75
whats the difference between that and street racing
the only difference i see is you made a by run

Obviously it won't be from 25-75 mph at the track. My 25-75 is the time I could get safely on the freeway. That would make a good comparision for anyone that has ran a scan on their LS2. And that would give you a good comparison of hp. Not necessarily what each would ET at the track due to traction, drive skill and whatever.
Well the role of the opponent would be to see if he can win but of course the role of the challenger would be see if his car is making more power by racing from a roll.
Of course after they both do this they can stop at a local eatery for a coffee and a roll (or bagel).
Hopefully some of you will be rolling on the floor laughing while reading this.

actually, there are stretches of texas highways that are 80mph

Believe it or not my friends did just that. In response to (and to mock) some of the local guys that ONLY wanted to race from a roll, my friends (one with a 300ZX TT and the other with a heads and cam Camaro Z28 LS1) decided to get lined up together at Atco Raceway one night, left the line softly and dead even and about 400 feet out they honked their horns 3 times (a now accepted method of starting a street race) and nailed it.
Voila! A roll race at the drag strip!
if you could make it to Dallas, Friday by evening, a bunch of us going to Ennis 1/4mi... I'd run you there to see wassup... LG Motorsports did g5x4 cam and LG long tube headers on an LS3 and got 500rwhp. damn!
